Principal partner in the law firm The Egenolf Group LLP in Santa Barbara, Rob has specialized in real estate law and taxation for over 45 years.

Rob earned an undergraduate degree in business, economics and math from United States International University, a Juris Doctorate from Cal Western School of Law, and a master’s in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law graduating first in his class. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1973 and has focused on real property law and complex exchange transactions throughout his career. Rob has been involved in thousands of exchanges all over the world involving properties valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. He has lectured nationwide on this often complex and ever-evolving subject.

Rob founded Santa Barbara Exchange Corporation in 1984 and founded the first national intermediary company in partnership with First American Title Company in 1986. He co-founded Amherst Exchange Corporation in 1988.
